South East Hub

Welcome to the home page of Vitae South East Hub. We are based in the Teaching and Learning Development Unit at the University of Sussex but serve the whole South East region, covering 19 Higher Education Institutions.

We run regular events for staff supporting researchers and look to the region to set our agenda. We have contacts in all of the South East's institutions, many of which are represented on our Advisory Group.

If you would like any more information about Vitae or the South East Hub please do not hesitate to contact our Hub Manager, Ross English on sehub@vitae.ac.uk.

The Broadening horizons programme is an interactive and intensive two-day programme that provides research staff with the opportunity, skills and tools to help them proactively engage in their own career development. It is freely available for use to UK higher education institutions

The programme enables research staff to gain a clearer self-orientation of where they are within their career and to consider what their next steps might be, whether their aspirations are to remain in research and/or academia or to move into other areas.

These self-contained one-day sessions will introduce Broadening Horizons to staff wishing to run the course at their own HEI. The sessions will commence at 10.30am and close at 3pm.

The events are free of charge and intended for those who support the professional and personal development of researchers. There are 20 places available on each, so spaces are limited. To book a place on either event, follow these links:

February 11, Southampton
