Vitae run new courses for research staff and doctoral researchers nationally. They are designed and delivered by some of the best facilitators in the country. These are then usually written up in such a way that individual universities can run them in house. Beautifully organised, they are really worth booking onto.

One new course, for both doctoral researchers and research staff, is the Digital researcher, on the 15th of March in collaboration with the British Library. Web savvy users of this blog may not think there is much to learn about using the web for their research, but have a look at the program which will cover:

·        the role that online networks can play in supporting research and researchers' careers

·        how to manage your online profile (positively)

·        how to build networks to support your research and career

·        the range of different tools that are available to support you and your research The course will tie in with an online ‘event’, which anyone, not just participants can join in and which I will let you know about nearer the time.

We are also running a course especially for research staff wanting to make careers as academics called Advancing in academia, This will be held on the 29 March in Manchester. Positive feedback can be found in a comment on an earlier post.
