Vitae RDF Community of Practice (CoP)
The Community of Practice (COP) is a new member-led initiative which aims to:
- support member institutions in the roll out and implementation of RDF 2025
- share good practices and develop resources around RDF 2025
- support those who are new to using the RDF

Vitae Peer Mentoring Circles 2026-2027
After a hugely successful pilot year, we’re delighted to relaunch the Vitae Peer Mentoring Circles scheme for researcher developers across Vitae member institutions.
This peer learning program will facilitate cross-border connections among those with responsibility for supporting researchers with their career and professional development across Europe.
The aim of the program is for participants to have the opportunity to share practice, discuss key challenges, and learn from each other.
There will be a focus specifically on exchanging knowledge on supporting researchers transition into careers outside of academia
The Vitae Policy Advisory Group exists to provide strategic advice on how Vitae can promote the value and potential of researchers to policymakers and inform policies that support researchers to thrive.
Vitae Researcher Development Framework working group
The Vitae RDF Working Group was established to guide the evolution of the Researcher Development Framework (RDF) by leveraging the community’s knowledge and practical experience. The group focus on sharing experiences, setting priorities, revising the RDF, providing feedback on drafts, and fostering stakeholder relationships.
Vitae Digital Transformation working group
The Vitae Digital Transformation working group was developed to support the improvement of the Vitae website and enhance the online experience for its diverse audiences. Recognising the challenges of navigating a nearly decade-old website, a discovery process was undertaken over the past year, involving audience consultations during the 2023 Vitae International Researcher Development Conference, user research through an external supplier, and participation in the Deloitte Digital Connect programme.
The group, comprising 10-15 individuals from varied roles within the Vitae community, was tasked with providing feedback on content strategy, shaping website functionality, ensuring accessibility, and testing usability. The group met up to three times online in 2024, with some additional offline tasks, and progress was reviewed in September to determine future steps.
